PRE OR POST JUDGMENT RESEARCH

Due to tightening privacy issues it is a good idea to get as much information as you can from your clients/witnesses on all participants to a suit, such as full names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, last known addresses, names of relatives and spouses, etc..

Skip tracing and asset locations often depend upon this type of information and sometimes our sources just won’t provide it.

Before going into the expense of civil litigation, it is always a good idea to do some asset location investigations in order to see if the cost of going to court is warranted. After all, blood is not easily derived from turnips.

Once a judgment is awarded, there are over 130 members of the California Association of Judgment Professionals (www.cajp.org), many of which are skilled at extracting money from judgment debtors.
